Genesis
2:1-3
On the seventh day God ended all of His work and
rested. God blessed the seventh day and
sanctified it.
Since God sanctified, or set apart, the seventh day, how should we treat the seventh day?
Genesis
2:4-6
God spoke heaven and earth and all of the plants into
existence, the plants were created, they didn’t grow up from the ground for God
had never caused it to rain, and there were no people to work the ground; but a
mist came up from the earth to water the entire ground.
What do verses 4-6 tell us about rain?
Genesis 2:15-17
God took the man, Adam, and put him in the garden to
cultivate it and watch over it. God told
Adam that he could eat freely from every tree of the garden except for the tree
of the knowledge of good and evil; because if you eat it you will die.
What did God say would happen if Adam ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil?
Genesis 2:21-25
God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep, and removed one
of Adam’s ribs, and he made a woman from Adam’s rib. God presented the woman to Adam. The man and his wife were both naked and were
not ashamed.
Why do you suppose the man and his wife were not ashamed of their nakedness?
